G&S Racing step up to Quattro Group British Supersport Championship for 2024 season

14 March 2024

G&S Racing will make a return to British Championship action this season as they step up into the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, with support from Kawasaki UK to field three riders this year.

The team have been regular contenders in the Pirelli National Superstock and Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championships in the past and now  are preparing for the next challenge, announcing Sam Laffins and Jorel Boerboom, with a third rider to be announced in due course.

Laffins said: “It’s fantastic to be staying with the team that brought us so much success last year. It’s a great family-run team - it’s a very professional but fun environment to be in. I can’t wait to get back on the bike and get 2024 underway.”

Boerboom said: “I am looking forward to next season. The last few months have been a bit hard for me, as I was not allowed to train or work with my injury. It was not the way I wanted to end the season. Since my surgery, I have been training harder than before and I am motivated. We will see what next season will bring us.”

Team Manager Tom Fisher commented: “After a successful 2023 in the final year of the Junior Superstock class we, as a team, look forward to the more challenging Supersport class. Once again, we have the support from Kawasaki UK and we look forward to developing our package throughout the year to the Next Generation rules.

“After such a strong finish to the year for Laffins, we are pleased to have him back within our team. For Boerboom, it’s back to familiar territory as he has competed in the Supersport class before. He has shown some great improvements last year onboard the Kawasaki, until his season ended prematurely due to injuries, through no fault of his own. The work continues behind the scenes to get our third rider confirmed.”
